Twice as nice! For the second year in a row, a New York Jazz Academy student has been selected from a national pool of applicants to play in the Jazz Band of America. This year, Sam Butler, who attended the NYJA Summer Jazz Intensives, was selected for the trumpet section. The previous year, Sam Towse, a graduate of the NYJA Long Island youth program, was chosen as the pianist for this national program. Congratulations, Sam and Sam!
